Delete your account and data

CuttingCoach is local-first, so an account is optional. If you never created one, none of your data ever left your device and there is nothing on our servers to delete. If you did create an account for backup and sync, you can delete it and all of its data yourself, at any time, directly in the app.
Delete your account from the app
- Open CuttingCoach on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Account card and choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
That is all it takes. The deletion happens immediately and automatically, with no support ticket and no waiting period.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes every row of your synced data from our live database in one action: your injection doses, weight, water, macros, side effects, targets and settings, along with your account record and email address. Each account can only ever access its own data, and once deleted it is gone from the live database straight away.
Backups
Our database provider keeps routine backup copies for resilience (currently up to seven days). A very recent deletion may still exist in one of those backups until that backup is automatically overwritten on its normal schedule. Backups are not otherwise accessed and are not used to restore individually deleted data.
Data on your device
Deleting your account removes the cloud copy. Any data still held locally on your phone remains yours to keep or remove. To remove it from the device as well, uninstall the app, or clear its data in your phone's settings (Settings › Apps › CuttingCoach › Storage › Clear data).
If you cannot open the app
If you are unable to sign in or open the app and need your account deleted, email us at cuttingcoach@gmail.com from the email address on your account and we will delete it for you.
